Location: Located near downtown Alhambra, California.
Parking: On the street.
Service: It is a small restaurant there is only 1 person attending which is fine. They speak English and Burmese.
Food quality: It is a Burmese restaurant. We ordered chicken paratha (chicken curry dish with bread similar to naan bread), nan gyi thoke ( an athoke – salad dish, made with thick round rice noodles mixed with specifically prepared chicken curry), myee shay (rice noodles served with meat sauce and arrays of toppings), tea leaf salad (soft pickled tea leaves, crisp, roasted peanuts and other crunchy beans, toasted sesame seeds, fried garlic), wet thar dote htoe ( pork offal skewers cooked in light soy sauce which include the internal organs of the pig including its intestine, liver, kidney, spleen, heart, lungs, tongue and even the skin. It tastes really good and it is soft meat), pa zon kwet kyaw (breaded fried shrimps), kyay-oh sichet (noodle soup made with pork and egg) and hot Burmese tea. The portions are OK. The flavor of the food is adapted to American taste. It was my first time eating Burmese food and I liked it. My boyfriend is from Burma and he found the food OK.
Price: The prices are OK. We ordered 11 dishes to share. We paid $90. We were a group of 6 people.
Atmosphere: Small and quiet restaurant. It is not a luxury restaurant.
Recommendation: Go with someone who knows this type of food so you can try totally different things.
Address: 5 N 4th St, Alhambra, CA 91801.
