O C White’s Seafood & Spirits

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Location: Perfectly located near the center of the city.

Parking: You can park on the street or pay around $15 to $20 all day in any nearby parking lot.

Service: The service is good and the waiter was very attentive.

Food quality: This is a seafood restaurant. We ordered for appetizer the crab & spinach dip (fresh blue crab, cream cheese, roasted red peppers, spinach & spices served with naan) and for courses crab gouda-stuffed portabello sandwich (one large portobello mushroom stuffed with seasoned fresh blue crab meat, gouda cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions, topped with provolone cheese and broiled on a toasted bun) and shrimp n’ grits (slow-cooked  grits topped with lightly blackened shrimp, cheese, bacon & scallions). The quality of the food is very good. The taste of seafood is completely different compared to southern Florida, the crab had quite a taste.

Price: The prices are reasonable. We spent $51 on 1 appetizer, 2 courses, and 1 cocktail.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is quite large and has different areas. You can sit outdoors in a beautiful garden or you can sit inside with air conditioning depending on your taste and weather. In our case, we sat outside because the weather was nice.

Recommendation: If the weather is cool enough for you, ask to sit outside. Try to order the “Crabb Spinach Dip”  which tastes very local. If you go with a big group of people, I recommend you make a reservation. We did not make a reservation and our wait time was approximately 10 minutes.

Address: 118 Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, FL 32084.
