My boyfriend and I are always looking for unique places with a different concept. After searching online for different bars around us to celebrate my birthday, we decided to visit Sweetwater located in Boynton Beach. Without a doubt, it is one of the best bars in this area.

Location: The location of the bar is perfect. It is in a good area of Boynton Beach near the beach.

Parking: Parking is not a problem at all. They have a big garage where you can park for free.

Service: The service was not good at the first time we went to celebrate my birthday. We were a group of 10 people and the waitress was extremely slow and unkind. The second time it was just me and my boyfriend so we decided to sit at the bar. But this time both bartenders are fast and friendly. We did not have any inconvenience.

Food quality: Google says it is an American restaurant, but for me is more like a bar because they don’t have a big menu. On my birthday, we ordered crab cakes, BBQ tacos, and Charcuterie Board. The food is ok as small bites, but there is nothing authentic or special. The special thing about this place is the drinks! That’s why I chose to celebrate my birthday here. The drinks are quite delicious and unique. It is not the typical American bar that only serves you standard margarita or daiquiri.

Price: I consider food prices a bit expensive for the quantity and quality, but the drink prices are acceptable because they are really good. The first time we paid for 22 cocktails and 3 courses $441.96 (the tip was already included). The second time we paid for 4 cocktails $55.84 plus tip. For large parties, they charge 20% of gratitude.

Atmosphere: I love the decoration and concept of the bar. When you walk into this bar, you definitely don’t feel like you’re in Florida. The vibe is more of an elegant and rustic bar in a big city. It is a bit dark making the air romantic and cozy. There is a perfect balance between the decoration and the menu. For me, a 5-star restaurant or bar must find a way to combine EVERYTHING. When I visit a restaurant or a bar, the first thing I look for is the right balance or match between what I eat and drink and what I see. This place has that unique combination and that’s why I always want to visit it again.

Recommendation: They do not accept reservations for now. The bar is not very big. I recommend arriving early especially if you are going with a large group of people.

If you ask me if I would visit this restaurant again? For sure YES!

My only recommendation for the bar is to improve table service and accept reservations.
