O’Sheas Irish Pub

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Location: Located in West Palm Beach Downtown (Florida).

Parking: On the street.

Service: Typical downtown Irish pub kind of service.

Food quality: It is an Irish restaurant but they also have American food. We visited this place because I had never tried Irish food before. In my opinion, the food tastes a bit insipid. But it was something different so it’s OK for me. We ordered corned beef and cabbage (lean corned beef with mashed potatoes and cabbage. It is very homemade) and iris lamb stew (Irish tradition featuring tender lamb, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and fresh herbs in a savory stew, served with freshly baked bread. It is like a soup and it was good). Additionally, my boyfriend ordered a car bomb (it is a cocktail and you have to drop a bomb shot of Irish cream and whiskey into a glass of stout).

Price: Normal. We ordered 2 courses and 2 beers for $33 plus tips.

Atmosphere: The bar looks and smells like an old tavern. I wasn’t sure about eating at this restaurant but in the end, I found it quite pleasant. We went for lunch and it was quiet.

Recommendation: If it’s your first time at an Irish restaurant, try local beer and car bombs and O’Shea’s Bloody Mary Menu.

Address: 531 Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
