Ruth’s Chris Steak House

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Location: We visit the location close to what was known as City Place, now Rosemary Square in West Palm Beach. But the restaurant has other locations around the United States.

Parking: The restaurant does not have its own parking. There are 3 options: pay for valet parking, park in the City Place parking (Cap rate is $10 for the whole day), or park on the street and pay at the parking meter (it’s the cheapest option).

Service: Really good. During all the 3 times we have visited this restaurant, the attention had been extraordinary.

Food quality: It is a steak house. We have been there 3 times and tried different dishes like mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat (this appetizer is really good if you like to eat crab), lobster bisque (it is my favorite soup. You can taste the different flavors. It is warm and creamy), petite filet (Two 4-ounce medallions of tender filet topped with three large shrimp), bone-in new york strip (19 ounces of sheer perfection—full-bodied and full of flavor), cowboy ribeye (22 ounces of perfectly marbled and generously flavored bone-in cut), au gratin potato (Idaho sliced potatoes topped with a savory three-cheese sauce. It is really good side), sweet potato casserole (my favorite side, whipped sweet potatoes topped with a savory pecan crust. It is very sweet but I love it). It’s worth for what you pay. The portions are large. The taste of the meat is OK, it is no the best but still good. If you want to go to a great restaurant with servers who really know the meats, I recommend you Okeechobee Steak House or Smith & Wollensky.

Price: The prices are expensive. It may cost easily around $150 for 2 people for entrées and alcoholic beverages. We were 4 and we ordered 1 alcoholic drink, 4 appetizers, 4 dishes (all come with 1 side) and we spent $335 plus tip total. The second time was just me and my boyfriend, and we ordered 1 appetizers, 1 drink, and 1 entrée to share for $105 plus tip.

Atmosphere: I really like this restaurant. It is quiet and I would say romantic. You can sit in the main room where they have a large window allowing you to look out to the street or you can sit in the are beside the bar which is very cozy.

Recommendation: We never made reservations for all 3 times we went, however, if you go with a large group of people, I recommend making a reservation. Preferably go well dressed. Try to park on the street so you can walk less. Sorry, I don’t have great pictures about this restaurant.

Address: 651 Okeechobee Blvd Suite 100, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
